    Story

    Front Line Hero Bear.

During the Coronavirus lockdown, Jean has been crocheting and knitting this special 'Front Line Hero Bear' to raise money for staff at The Green Care Homes, Hasland, Chesterfield. The picture shows the larger crochet bear in full PPE, ready to join The Green Care team, as a constant home companion.

Jean is also knitting smaller bears, which staff are buying for their children, to raise money for the residents fund. All the bears are dressed in protective scrubs, with a removable hat and mask. The design of the bear is with kind permission for reproduction by ‘Knitting Projects’.

Your donations for the Front Line Heros will support the health and wellbeing of staff at The Green Care Homes, during and after the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Andrea the Care Home Manager and staff have been doing everything possible to protect the residents from the Coronavius, which Jean and family are so grateful for and a further reason for supporting staff with our donations,

Director of The Green Care Home, Tarun Jaiswal, said ‘Jean’s knitting is a beacon of light, an inspiration, and a wonderful accomplishment. Jean will be very busy with the orders already placed!'.

Thank you very much from Jean, family and the care home staff for your donations.
