Hi, I’m Councillor Gareth Baines. Over the course of the COVID19 pandemic I’ve facilitated the donation of over 16,000 pieces of PPE to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital, plus 1,000 face visors for staff. I’d like to raise cash for the staff at both the Maelor and Chirk Hospital to have a celebration to thank them for their bravery and tireless efforts in both protecting and saving lives throughout this crisis. The donation will be split between the hospitals to pay for staff to have a party, go for a meal, or have a day out - it will be entirely up to our NHS staff how they wish to congratulate themselves.
