I have signed up to run the Brighton marathon in April. Having never been a distance runner, I have been training since the summer for this. However now the training runs are getting longer and the weather more challenging. I am looking for support through generous donations to keep me motivated.

Myself and my wife (Carole) are foster carers along with many more kind and caring people. Fostering is hugely satisfying, extremely rewarding and great fun, It offers you the opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life. But it can also be very challenging for the carers and their families.

Children and young people are fostered for a variety of reasons. They may have been physically or sexually abused, neglected or their families may be experiencing some difficult times.

HFN (Hampshire fostering network) are the backbone of support for foster carers in Hampshire and are a registered charity.

The aim of HFN is to help support carers in a variety of different ways, including keeping carers fully informed and updated, essential training and events for foster carers and children to attend that help to create positive memories and support our most vulnerable and damaged children with ages ranging from birth to 18 years.
