Austerity. Austerity has been the bane of manys existence for many years now. As a volunteer at my local foodbank, called Hebburn Helps in Soith Tyneside, UK, I have seen the need for assistance rise exponentially over this year alone. As a direct result, families are struggling. Not just families where the parents don't work but working families have been seriously hit.

And now we are coming up to Christmas. A time that people worry about. A time of giving. But some people won't be able to give, especially to their children. No child should go without something from Santa/Saint Nick/Tomte/Papa Noel. This year, like last year, the organisation I volunteer for want to help and give children of the most worst families in the area and this is where you come in.
