Story
Austerity. Austerity has been the bane of manys existence for many years now. As a volunteer at my local foodbank, called Hebburn Helps in Soith Tyneside, UK, I have seen the need for assistance rise exponentially over this year alone. As a direct result, families are struggling. Not just families where the parents don't work but working families have been seriously hit.
And now we are coming up to Christmas. A time that people worry about. A time of giving. But some people won't be able to give, especially to their children. No child should go without something from Santa/Saint Nick/Tomte/Papa Noel. This year, like last year, the organisation I volunteer for want to help and give children of the most worst families in the area and this is where you come in. If you could donate, even if it is just one £ (or even one $), you could help make a child smile this Christmas.
