Gerard and his partner, Isabella, are fundraising £2,000 for the mental health charity Mind. The charity's mission is to support people experiencing mental health problems and raise awareness on the discrimination and stigma surrounding mental health illnesses. Their impact is wide across the UK, with over 4 million people relying on their information services. The charity also provides targeted mental health services for commonly marginalised groups, like young African Caribbean men, South Asian women and the LGBTQ community.

Isabella ran the 2017 Virgin London Marathon in support of Mind and Gerard will be completing the Barcelona IRONMAN this coming Saturday!

He will be doing a 3.8K swim, 180K bike ride and 42K run (bib number 1465 for those keen on tracking). His 6 month training covered 1,945 miles of cycling equivalent to 34 London to Brighton races; 80 miles of swimming equivalent to 4 Channel swims and 445 miles of running equivalent to 17 marathons!

Following the IRONMAN, Gerard and Isabella will be completing the Amsterdam Marathon together on October 15.
