Story
Every year, Rainford 6th Form College travels to Ghana to take part in the restoration of buildings and assist in the provision of vital equipment. So far, a school (with a library) has been built, vegetable patches have been planted, and we have aided in the upkeep of local orphanages.
This year, it is my aim to travel to Ghana myself and continue the amazing work started by my college. We will be travelling in July 2017 and building the first STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) lab Ghana has ever had.
To do this, each student who volunteers must raise £1600 to cover flights, accommodation and the equipment needed to improve the lives of the local people.
Any donation is really appreciated, as it brings us one step closer to providing a better way of life for the people of Ghana.
Thank you for your generosity,
Grace Vaughan
