Weʼre raising £4,500 to go on an expedition to Ghana to visit an orphanage to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged girls.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We are a part of International Womens Academy (http://www.iwa-education.com) within our school Jersey College for Girls (https://www.jerseycollegeforgirls.com) and our aim is to make the lives of disadvantaged girls, better. We want to make a difference to these girls’ lives. We work with colleges around the world, in places like Mumbai, Beijing and Phuket and collaborate to enhance the future of the girls’ lives. To ensure this happens we will be travelling to Ghana and we will visit the Crossover International Academy (http://www.wingsforcrossover.org/about-crossover-international-academy/) with suitcases full of essential, and educational tools. The children in this school are from lots of different backgrounds, many were rescued from slavery or other unsafe situations.
