Story
'The Word of God is like a caged lion, it does not need to be defended it simply needs to be let loose'. - Spurgeon
We are working in a baptist church in the Acholi north of Uganda, we are getting involved in various ministries including running Sunday school for around 100 children.
We have recently discovered that none of the children own or have access to a Bible, even the vast majority of the church congregation don't own a Bible, only around five adults in the whole church have access to a Bible simply because they cannot afford one in their language.
The Bible is the greatest gift God as given us, which we as Christians use to learn more about God and to grow closer to him.
We believe if we want to truly see these children grow in the knowledge and strength of Christ we need to give them access to the Word of God.
Most of these children and adults live in poverty and have very little to their name. There are many gifts we could give them to help improve their situation, but the only gift we can give them which will truly transform their life and their eternity is the Word of God and the gospel.
Your donation has the power to give what is for these people a once in a lifetime gift of a book which has affected so many of our lives in such a profound way.
For just £10 you could provide three people with this life-changing gift.
Please give generously.
