I play rugby for England Deaf Rugby (EDRU) which is a registered charity aimed at getting men women and children who are deaf or hard of hearing into sport.

Playing sport helps people feel included in many ways and helps develop confidence.
EDRU also has representative teams that play games and International games to highlight the problems of deaf people and I have been selected to play for England's Deaf women's side in this tournament the first ever World Deaf Rugby 7's tournament.

There is also a men's side attending.
However as a charity we have to ensure that we raise the funds needed to pay for flights and accommodation etc for this trip.
I have set up this page as a starting point to do my best to raise the money needed to fund my trip with the squad and all the other player are fundraising for their trip too.

When I meet with the other players involved in England Deaf rugby it is the only time I meet and socialise with any other deaf people and for many other players it is the same. It's a time to talk and discuss the many issues faced by deaf and hard of hearing people who live with a disability that is firstly vastly understood and secondly is difficult because it's invisible therefore the struggles are not always clear.

This is a massive opportunity for me and one I'm unlikely to get again and I am extremely grateful for anything at all you could give to help make this trip possible
