"Ginger" is a stray cat who started visiting our garden in April 2018. He is in bad shape, his fur is matted and he is in pain with his mouth. We started to feed him and eventually gained his trust enough so we could take him to the vet.

The RSPCA helped out with emergency medical treatment, giving him antibiotics and pain killers. The vet said he was definitely a stray because he wasn't chipped and has various health problems that are typical of street cats.

Ginger doesn't have many teeth left, most of what he has are just stumps and his gums are red raw. He struggles to eat and its clear to see that it causes him pain to chew. This funding would cover the removal of the bad teeth and scaling down of those that are healthy enough to remain.

The vet also suspects that Ginger has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and that's why he showed breathing/snuffling issues. Poor Ginger also has matted fur and sores on his skin from fighting and fleas bites. This funding would also cover the cost to get these issues investigated and treated. He would also be castrated (but we won't tell Ginger about that part yet!)

Ginger now needs your help. All the local rescue centres are full. The RSPCA and other local charities aren't able to help him any further as they have to give priority to kittens and their mums.
