Gord was diagnosed earlier this year with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and started his chemotherapy treatment back in May at Taunton Musgrove hospital.

He’s just received the last course of treatment and although he endured some really bad weeks he’s hoping the worst is now over and he’ll soon be back on track.

Clive Handford - One of the directors from Total Plumbing took him and his family out for lunch one Sunday and although Gord didn’t eat that much he said it was good to be out again doing normal things, he’s spent most of his recent weeks recuperating at home.

Kimberley, Gords wife, is now seven months pregnant with their second child and has just given up work, He asked how this would affect them financially and they admitted it will make things extremely difficult.
Watching their reactions Clive realised these two people desperately needed help, worrying about money and bills can only add to the stress and strain they’re already enduring...

Gords a proud guy and who would never dream of asking for help, so should we sit back and do nothing or can we do something to make a difference to their lives?

Clive's idea was for Total Plumbing and the staff to fundraise under the heading of “Give Gord A Break”, the aim to achieve just that, the break can be the break he needs in life or a family holiday, it’s that simple.

Clive & Ian (Company directors) have agreed to boost the fund by matching the total amount of money collected, so for example every £1 you raise Gord will receive £2 - that’s got to be an incentive!
