My name is Grace and in the summer of 2019, my best friend Nic and I are hoping to travel to Phang Nga, Thailand to help a local community for 2 weeks. We are travelling with a group of volunteers from all over the world. During our adventure we will participate in the construction and decoration of a local education center, we will also teach and integrate with the local children and their families, with the programme hoping to promote equality in the young peoples lives. We will assist in the conservation of local marine and wildlife by looking to protect habitats and raise awareness within surrounding communities. We hope that our work with GVI and the other volunteers will help to create a more sustainable environment, as well as creating a hotspot for education in the centre of the community. However, we need to raise a lot of money! I’m currently working 3 jobs to try and raise as much money as possible, and i’ve just reached the halfway point. As far as this JustGiving page goes, any contribution to our adventure would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way towards a once in a lifetime opportunity.
