We have recently opened a Animal rescue taking in Wild and Domestic animals that are Injured, Sick,Orphaned or just plain unwanted.
We bought just a piece of land but we have to fence it, put in shelters, there's a new floor needed in the barn. not to mention the metal sheeting needing replacing in places.
We do not take a wage from all the hours we put in, every thing is run voluntary.
All this costs a lot of money and although we try to go out every weekend during the summer to shows etc its just not enough to buy all the extra stuff that is needed.
One of us is usually out most of the day collecting animals that people have phoned in and reported, or they are giving up on there pets.
None of this is the animals fault and although us and other organisations strive to help them it all boils down to money and what the public will do to help.
One of our pet projects is the protection and saving Hedgehogs and we are registered with the British Hedgehog Preservation Society as carers.
We have our own hospital for the injured Sick and orphaned but this has to be heated and we need more equipment to enable us to treat these animals.
Many Species of Wildlife are disappearing from our gardens and countryside. Many of you have seen experts on TV telling us how close we are to losing some of them all together,
Our childrens Children may never see some of these animals.
These creatures are our Heritage and its up to us to make sure we can pass it on to future generations.
