Story
After 188 days spent in Northwick Park Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital the time has come for my dad to go on his journey to the Specialist Amputee Rehabilitation Unit in Lambeth Community Care Centre to undergo extensive rehabilitation to give him the skills he will need in his life before being able to return home.
Since the 21st April my dad has spent a large period in intensive care fighting for his life after contracting Streptococcus A and Sepsis which both nearly killed him so we are so lucky to have him still around and fighting strong.
Since coming out of intensive care my dad has undergone surgery to save his life on his shoulder which has been skin grafted, which eventually he will need another operation on as it's quite tight, also several operations which has lead to both legs being amputated below the knees and one hand completely amputated and this other hand leaving half a thumb.
He will need constant care when coming home due to his long lasting injury from his fractured back years ago, plus the damage from the Strep A.
We want to be able to provide our dad with everything he needs and wants.
So it would be nice if everyone could support him through this difficult time
A massive thank you to everyone who has already supported and watched him through his journey already! ❤️
