Iʼve raised £295 to rescue one Kenyan girl from child marriage, FMG and beading - a tradition of raping under ten year olds, by providing the gift of education

Story
Unfortunately my original page got closed, so have had to start another page with a target of £332 for the remaining amount to reach my goal of £1000...
On a recent plane journey I read a horrific article in the inflight magazine, about an on going Kenyan tradition, that allows young girls under the age of ten to be repeatedly raped by their male relatives. In a world where we as women have choices and freedom, it is shocking to think that this can be allowed to happen. There is an organisation www.samburugirls.foundation that rescue such girls, giving them the opportunity of education to realise their full potential and escape from these horrendous traditional practises. I am hoping to sponsor a girl ( with a little help!) by raising £1000.
Although it is about the money to help one girl, it is also to raise awareness for these young girls. So please pass this is onto as many open hearted friends you may know. We all need support at some times in our lives and I would like to thank you in advance, in anticipation and gratitude.
