    Story

    Help Grassroots Football Survive

Like many other football clubs up and down our country, the impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic is hitting Godmanchester Rovers hard. Income has reduced to zero whilst expenses such as utility bills, ground maintenance, insurance and certifications still need to be paid.

Some clubs may not survive this crisis, but we are determined to emerge from it in the best possible state. We are pulling out all the stops to ensure we can be there when matches resume, and continue the incredible success we have had with our youth, U18’s, Reserves and First Team structures.

Godmanchester Rovers FC is asking whether you could assist by donating as much as you can afford to help the club get through this challenging period and continue the great work we have had to temporarily abandon. Whether you are a dedicated Goddy fan or simply supportive of what we are trying to achieve, any size donation would be much appreciated.

Godmanchester Rovers is an important part of the local community and a destination for many on a Saturday afternoon where we see parents with young children who enjoy the youth set up come and watch the first team in action. The club has a fantastic support from this community and beyond, and we want to make sure it survives and continue to thrive in bringing our national game to local boys, girls and adults in the future.

In addition, if your donation is of £10 or more, and you leave your details when you donate, we will give you free admission to our next home league match, whenever that may be.

This fundraising initiative will be open until the 31st May 2020 (or when the target is reached) when we hope to understand further the implications of the COVID-19 virus on non-league football.
