I, alongside my best friend Elsa, will be running the Liverpool Half Marathon on 25th March 2018. The main aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Stroke Ward at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

In October 2017, my dad suffered a stroke at home. Dad was quickly picked up by paramedics and taken to our local hospital, the Countess of Chester. Shortly after his arrival, he suffered a further mini-stroke. which the consultant declared as "one too many". He was then transferred to the Stroke ward and kept in overnight to be monitored.

We thank our lucky stars that he has had no further complications and has come away from this with absolutely no side effects. However, from just sitting on the unit visiting my Dad, my family and I realised JUST how lucky we are.

Without the fast response of the paramedics, and the staff on the Stroke Ward at the Countess of Chester Hospital, my dad may not have made the quick and full recovery that he has.

It's probably my biggest challenge to date, as anyone who knows me will know that I can't run 30 seconds without needing a break at the moment! Every single donation will be greatly appreciated.
