Along with Bex Wade, Lauren Clarke and Bex Watts, I am taking part in the Manchester Marathon on the 8th April 2018.

In August 2017, Anne Taylor, a very special lady close to our hearts had a tragic horse riding accident which left her with life changing injuries. Since the accident she has been left paralysed from the chest down resulting in huge changes for both her and her family.

Unfortuately Anne has been told she will not walk again and therefore solely relies on the help and support of her family & friends. The charity S.U.R.F provide a great service to patients like Anne who are currently undergoing rehabilition treatment in Pinderfields Hospital. Their main focus is to organise various trips & activities for the patients, i.e.visits to the cinema/group meals etc. During Anne's time in Pinderfields Hospital, the charity have also provided general every day financial support. Half of the funds we raise will go towards this charity as we have seen first hand what a fantastic difference they can make to patients lives.

As well as raising money for S.U.R.F, we want to help Anne herself now she is home. One of the main requirements is a power seat riser which will enable her to do day to day things such a make a cup of tea, or reach something from a cupboard etc.

For anybody that knows Anne, knows that she is one of the most caring and selfless people there is, and loves to help anybody that she can. She has spent most of her retirement doing volunteer work in a nearby care home, and walking local guide dogs.
