    Story

Harold touched many of our lives, a happy man with a heart of gold, gone too soon.

Harold was only 54 years old when he passed last week, one of 10 Brothers and Sisters, most of whom along with his parents are not longer with us. Initially growing up in Liverpool, and later moving to Newmarket, he worked as a mechanic and later in racing. Harold was a keen sportsman, excelling at cross country running and boxing. Harold and Andrea met when they were both in their late teens, after a NYE party, and they never left each other's sides from that day on. There is not enough space to tell the whole story here, but it will be displayed at his funeral for everyone to enjoy. Andrea shares some precious memories and personal thoughts with me ...... in her own words below ...

"I will always feel cheated of the time and plans we thought were stretched out in front of us, but sometimes life is cruel. As friends keep telling me, some people go through life without ever having what we had. I was not at all prepared for what happened."

"I know there were a lot of people who just didn't get Harold, but I had found my soulmate, and there wasn't anything we could have said to each other that hadn't already been said, or any more time spent together than we already had. As we always said to each other, if one of us didn't make it home one day ... we would have no 'what ifs?' . That is at least one thing I can take comfort in. It just wasn't long enough."

"TIme is a commodity you cannot put a price on, or buy more of. Use it wisely."

    "Harold .... P.S. I love you" - Andrea.
