For many years I have desired to be a part of a bigger project and decided... 2017 would be the year!

I am going to be voluntarily working at an orphanage this July in rural North Thailand. The orphanage is a specialist one with children from unprivileged homes and backgrounds. Many of the children have been orphaned through parent deaths, illness, imprisonment and even more unimaginable circumstances that I am legally bound to keep confidential. It is the reality of what is around us.

My role within this project will not only be spending time, nurturing and loving the children but also to help support the staff with teaching and supporting children with special needs.

The money, through donations and fundraising events to follow, really will go a long way.
Your donations will go towards funding this project to run as well as for me to bring resources across with me, including sensory toys and teaching resources that will have such an incredible impact on the children in this rural home.

When people ask me why I am doing this, there's no short answer. I love my job, I love children and above all, I desire that children across the world know that they are loved, important and valued. If I can be even just a tiny demonstration of that to the children and staff in this orphanage, then I will be very thankful.
