Story
As you may know, on 13th April 2017, our much-loved friend and colleague, Ed Hill, sustained serious neck and spinal injuries during a five-aside football match in London and is now paralysed from the waist down. It was a simple fall and we all still struggle daily to understand how it could have resulted in such tragedy. Ed has been in hospital ever since and we are extremely grateful for the incredible care he has received from King’s College Hospital, where he started his recovery, followed by Stoke Mandeville Hospital’s National Spinal Injuries Centre where he has been continuing his rehabilitation.
The good news is that Ed is doing really well! He has had a couple of set backs but is now looking to move back home to his parents' house around Easter 2018 after a full year in hospital. He had messaged us this week to say a big thank you for the money raised for him so far and has bought a ramp so he can easily access his parents house which should be no problem for him after his trip to London the other week navigating the trains/tubes/streets/crowds at rush hour!
The challenge I, along with my colleagues, am taking on in order to raise as much money as possible to support Ed with his continued road to recovery and his independence is walking 100 kilometres (!!!!!) from Bath, Ed's hometown where he will be waving us off, to Cheltenham through the day and night - 28-33 hours! This is by far the biggest challenge embarked on to raise money for Ed's future - the quiz nights and bake sales have been great but this time we are going big!
I would be so grateful if you could donate anything you can towards this cause and encourage me on my way to that 100K! Your messages, and words of encouragement, would also be very well received and I will save them to get me through the struggle at 4am. All money raised will be going directly to Ed to help with funding a wheelchair, any necessary home improvements, and ultimately help him be as independent as possible after such a horrific accident. #DoingItForEd!!
Thanks so much in advance! :)

6 years ago100km complete! Everyone's support has been absolutely incredible and I will never be able to thank you all enough for getting me through this. The pain is excruciating right now but all worth it to raise money and help Ed lead a 'normal' future.
