Hi, my name is Charlie, I am a chocolate Labrador aged 7 years old. I moved to my new owners 3 months ago which was a pleasant unexpected surprise as my previous owners decided to emigrate without me. I love my new family as I did have a serious weight issue which through playing, walking and a good diet I have managed to lose a significant amount of weight which has massively improved my life, as I am now able to go upstairs and watch over the little ones while I they are sleeping which means that I am with them all of the time. :-) Unfortunately a few weeks ago when I was play fighting with the little ones my new mummy noticed a lump on my tummy. I was wisked to the vets and my new family and I were given the worst possible news. The lovely vet who gave me lots of treats and cuddles explained that I have got a mammary tumour of a significant size which she believes is cancerous. She has quoted this price for the operation to remove 90% of it which will increase my life expectancy by at least 4 -5 years. My new owners are not rich by any definition except in oodles of love and cuddles. Everybody is very sad and even the little ones cry because without this operation I shall need to leave them soon. Insurance companies will not insure me as this is a pre-existing condition and I will need the operation straight away therefore I am begging for help with he costs something which hasn't come easy to my new owners who are desperate to not see me go.
