Story
Helen is just an ordinary woman, living an extraordinary life. You might see her at the checkout of your grocery store. What you won’t see is that she has cerebral palsy, and is a wheelchair user. This confident, witty, intelligent woman is fighting daily battles of pain and fatigue, doing it all with a smile and the confidence that makes her loved by all her friends and family, and admired by those customers she greets and serves every day.
You can help ease her discomfort. The fatigue from pushing her wheelchair around daily is setting in. She’s a 49 YO soul trapped in an 80 YO body. How do we give her a shot of anti-aging love? by replacing her current powered wheels on her wheelchair as they have become unsuitable and unreliable. Currently Helen is under increased stress and fatigue due to the unreliability of the Bluetooth connections. Imagine how soul destroying it is for Helen to finish a days work and be on her way home and her Bluetooth connection drops therefore disabling the remote control that enables her to adjust the speed of her wheels from normal to double speed. Double speed makes her journey so much quicker and easier. Without that option Helen's fatigue, and pain levels are through the roof. Not that any of you would know to see her as she is there day in day out to serve you with a smile.
The appropriate societies will not pay for this on Helen’s chair as it is not deemed a requirement for her to live. But there is life and there is quality of life. Her physical quality of life deserves to match her mental. Let's hope we can keep Helen smiling so she can continue to brighten your day and those of many others. Helen was one of the many that helped keep us going the last few years during the difficult times of lockdowns. Here's hoping we can do what we can to help keep this lovely lady mobile and an active member of our society.

Why are you giving?
You are giving to ensure a woman is able to live a life with less pain and fatigue than she currently does. Also enabling her to stay part of her community
What will my gift provide?
New replacement powered wheels to enable me to continue to live life to the full and enjoy getting out and about more. As less fatigue = more energy to get out and do the things everyone else takes for granted
How will this help Helen?
She will be able to keep her independence and get around without putting unwanted wear and tear on her arms and shoulders. As the powered wheels will continue to make the motion of wheeling her chair easier than it would be without them.

4 days agoI didn't promote this page for awhile due to negative comments on social media. I've decided to try once more on one or two Facebook pages. Before I look at if I can afford loan repayments to fund this myself. If you do happen to see my post on Facebook please share. Thank you to all that have helped already either by donating or sharing this page. It means so much.
