    Story

8 years ago Helen was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer.
Helen underwent chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a lumpectomy whilst raising two young children single handedly.
After months of gruelling treatment and years of tests Helen was told that she was cancer free two years ago. Although around this time Helen was also told she had cancerous cells in her cervix.
Now Helen is rebuilding her life. The proud mum of two teenagers, working at a mental health hospital supporting residents with their daily tasks and help them to live more independantly. Helen has also found love and got engaged over Christmas.
Unfortunately for Helen her self confidence is still lacking. Helen wears baggy clothes to hide her body following the lumpectomy and has not been able to go swimming with her children for many years among other day to day activities the rest of us take for granted. Although Helen would love to be like many other brides planning their big day and trying wedding dresses on Helen is worried about how she will look.
Two years ago Helen was offered a fat transfer for a breast reconstruction from the NHS. She was told that it could take three attempts however after the first procedure Helen was told that they could not get any fat from her body and refused to complete another operation. The first procedure subsequentially failed and the breast once again reduced.
Helen's confidence took yet another hit and she felt at her lowest. Helen has been told she is not eligible for any further procedures on the NHS and so looked into cosmetic surgery to give her the body confidence she is craving. Helen has been told that it will cost £7,000 for this and due to previous ill health and not being able to work for some time Helen has no savings.
We are therefore asking for anyone who can help to contribute even just the smallest amount and help Helen have her second chance.
