It is recommended that every school in England should try to have a defibrillator on the premises. Unfortunately, funding is not always available to support this.

As a parent of three children and as a governor at Thorne King Edward Primary School, I am keen to support this challenge - currently the school have raised just under £200 of the £600 required. This vital piece of lifesaving equipment could be available for use in the school should any parent, pupil, member of the public, visitor or member of staff have a cardiac arrest. Hopefully, they will never have to use it but they would have one should an emergency arise and potentially be able to save a life.

This Saturday evening/night I am taking part in the 6 hour "Helloween on the Humber" endurance race, which this year has a "Day of the Dead" theme (the Mexican celebration, not the movie). Your support in raising funds for this vital lifesaving equipment that every school and business should have would be greatly appreciated.
