As many of you know, a homeless member of the community, Christopher Conlin died last week, leaving his brother DJ who is also homeless. This is a sad time for everyone and there is a lot of shock and anger at how this could happen in 2017. There are already two fundraising campaigns that I am aware of and both are raising money to cover funeral costs for Chris.

My aim is to raise money to give directly to his brother DJ in the hope that this small gesture can somehow make things easier for him going forward. I have set a small goal to begin with as anything we can do is better than nothing for this chap, but who knows if we can raise enough, it might be enough once put together with everything else to get him enough money together to get a deposit on a flat, a chance at a new life and even if nothing else, a roof over his head this winter.

Let's all pull together and do everything we can to help those in need around us. I'm sure in our position they would be doing the same.
