Hi I am trying to raise money for my son’s kitten jake as he got ran over this morning by a taxi driver and they drove off. Luckily my lovely neighbours saw it happen and called me straight away. I rushed the kitten to the vets and he has a broken leg.

He needs an operation to have his leg pinned and it is going to cost over a £1000. I should have had him insured but have been nursing my terminally ill grandmother for the past few months and just didnt get round to it.

I have contacted all the relevant charities who are unable to offer any financial support. The rspca have informed me they can take the kitten into their care but would opt to have his leg amputated as it would keep the cost down.

To be honest this isnt an option for me as my son is 9 and has autism and adhd and is very emotionally attached to this kitten. He has recently lost his grandmother and is struggling to cope with that so i dont want him to lose his beloved pet aswell.
