10 year old Albie is a caring young man with a passion for the outdoors. This charity is very close to Albies heart as he has an older brother George (12) who has severe Autism and severe learning difficulties. Albie has grown up seeing the challenges that his brother faces on a daily basis and the huge impact that places on family life. Albie has experienced first hand the challenges that people with disabilaties face and has a great understanding of the importance of how support and encouragment, no matter what age or disabilaty the person may have, can have significant benefits for life. For some the benifits will be simply the fresh air that we breath when we are outside... for others it might be the smells of the nature... or like George, it might be the digging or sweeping up once all the work is done.

No matter what it is we all feel a sense of well being when we have a purpose, goal or challenge! Sailship Training and Learning for Life is a small local charity that supports adults with learning disabilities and mental heath support needs.

These adults are offered a safe environment under the care of a speciaised team where they are able to spend time outside, working together on many projects. This fantastic project offers these people a purpose, a goal and many other positives... Something we all need in life.

They currently require funds to buy railway sleepers to construct raised beds and create vegetable plots in an area which is currently inaccessible.

Albie is embarking on a multi peak challenge incuding Scafell Pike, Englands tallest point. He has 48 hrs to do it and will also be camping out on the mountain overnight! Help Albie to reach his goal!

To help keep Albie safe he will be joined by his Dad and his outdoor instructor who he has known since he was 5 years old. But ultimatly it is Albie who will be leading the way...
