Story
In the earthquake Basu lost his uncle, his house, and his ability to earn money all at once. His job is the only income for his family. He is worried about his family and fellow villagers who have survived because there is no food, no shelter and the already poor road access is now even worse. As a guide, he is not able to work for now. What he wants to do most urgently is buy some tin so he can build a temporary shelter, protecting his family from exposure.

Nepal
In 2006 some friends and I went trekking in Nepal after graduating from University. Our guide, Basu, kept us safe and kept us laughing when we were tired and sore. His generosity, humility and gentleness really touched me and I want to help him now, when he most needs it.
