Hi, I am walking the BRG Coastal Challenge of 17.5 mile (from Fraserburgh to Gardenstown) on Saturday 19th August. I am looking to raise as much funds as possible to help out a close family relative get back to his family home and see his young daughter grow up.

James' cousin, Jamie Cardno (24) had a very bad car accident, due to hitting black ice, on 13th January 2016. Since this date, Jamie has been in hospital and undergone numerous operations. The accident has resulted in Jamie being severely brain damaged and disabled. His only way of communication is through some hand & arm movements and through the use of technology.

His mum and dad, Brenda & John, are now planning renovating and extending their house to be able to get Jamie home, so that he can live with his family and see & enjoy his daughter, Emily-Rose (2) growing up. Jamie still has a large brain operation to undertake before he will get home but once this is successful, the family hope he is home soon afterwards.

He will need specially adapted chairs, hoists and various other equipment to suit his everyday needs. He will also require everyday care, help and support.

Any funds raised will be added towards the funds previously raised with the "Taking Jamie Home" campaign and WILL be used by Brenda & John to help adapt their property and purchase any required equipment. This will mean Jamie's life at home will be as comfortable and normal as possible.

This is a truly tragic story and I, the family & Jamie will really appreciated any donations given.
