To all who knew Vanessa,

I originally set up this page 5 days ago following a trip to the hospital with Vanessa in a bid to do something remotely helpful as she became visibly weaker in her incredibly brave fight against cancer. The initial aim was to raise some extra funds for Vanessa and Rich to help them cope with the added financial pressures facing them during this most difficult time, when the focus was on Vanessa gaining strength and also spending precious family time together with Huxley. Any funds raised were also going to go towards the alternative therapy Vanessa was trying alongside the chemo. Sadly, I hadn't yet had the chance to share the page with her friends.

In light of Vanessa's sudden and desperately sad passing yesterday, I still feel it would be fitting to continue to fundraise for Rich, and for their gorgeous boy Huxley in whom Vanessa's treasured memory will live on. So, let's keep this fundraising page open for anyone wanting to make a donation in Vanessa's memory, and the funds will continue to go to Rich for Huxley's benefit.

She was the most kind and beautiful friend to all, and her brave and spirited fight against cancer (for the second time) has been inspirational. Her tragic passing at such a young age, and with such a young family, seems so cruel, but she is now, thankfully, at peace. Vanessa's incredible warmth, humour and fun-loving spirit has given us the most wonderful memories, which hopefully will provide strength to Rich and Huxley, their family, and to everyone who had the privilege of calling Vanessa a friend. She will be desperately missed by all.
