Muna, is a 7 year old Syrian refugee, living in a marginalized, poor neighborhood in Amman with her parents and 8 brothers. Muna’s hearing has been affected by an explosion during the civil war in Syria when she was 2 year old. Although she has tried using a hearing aid, it did not help to improve her condition and is causing developmental delays in her speech and language. The good news is her condition is reversible. A Cochlear implant could help Muna to have her hearing back. The research shows that if it is implanted on time, 80% of children can catch up in their development with their peers without hearing problems. The surgery and aftercare in King Abdullah University Hospital in Amman, Jordan, will cost approximately £16,000. Please help Muna to hear again!
