I found my gorgeous cat Nero, who is not quite a year old yet, stumbling around in my daughter's room. I checked him over to find most of the skin on the bottom half of his hind leg missing. I panicked, got him to the vet and after X rays I have two options. Amputate the leg or try and stitch it up with the prospect of skin grafts if it doesn't work. I discussed it with the vet and they admitted they would be happier trying to save the leg and I feel the same way. Amputation is cheaper, sure, but I can't put a price on Nero's happiness.

The vet thinks he was hit by a car and maybe dragged. We're lucky his injuries aren't worse. Tough little dude.

Stupidly I haven't arranged insurance for him yet. My fault.

I'm looking at upwards of two grand trying to save his leg and I don't have it. I have always paid my way and hate going cap in hand but I could really use some help and intend to pay it forward. This hurts my pride but I need to try and save his leg. If you can help, however little, it would mean a huge amount.
