We are Zach and Becky Mitchell, we have a little girl called Lucy, and our dream is to open our own bookshop!
We have talked about it for years, and several months ago we finally decided to set up our own bookselling business, and save to have our own independent bookshop.
We want to live this dream as a family, and share our passion for books with each other, our daughter, and our local community. We have spent the last several months saving, gathering bookshop furniture and stock, and selling discounted new and second-hand books to our wonderful customers! We have received an immense amount of support, and cannot thank our friends, family and our customers enough!
This is now our final push to get our shop open! We have the premises lined up, our lease will be signed in the coming weeks, but various legal fees and other similar costs have come to be more than we anticipated, and we need some help to get over the finish line!

We want to open this indie bookshop for our family, and for our local community. We have loved being able to sell exciting and affordable books to our customers, especially to our little customers who are discovering the magic of reading and storytelling for perhaps the first time. In our bookshop, we will be selling discounted books, gifts, and also hosting exciting events including toddler groups, story time sessions, quiz nights, and other book-themed events to help promote a love of reading, learning and books in our local area.
