Story
My goal is to raise £25,000 to donate to the charity Build A School in Africa (as the cost of building a school in Africa via this chosen charity is $30,000, and due to ever-changing conversion rates £25,000 is a nice round number and the excess will go to supplies for the new school and school uniforms for the children). I am passionate about this cause because I strongly believe in equality. I believe that, given the chance, all children can and should go on to do wonderful things that they want to do and have the opportunity to choose for themselves. Living in a first world country myself, I am lucky enough to go to university and build my life, pursuing a career I have had the opportunity to choose, and I am grateful for this chance every day - which, of course, brings me back to my reason for wanting to give the children of Mali an equal opportunity to do the same.
Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does. -William James
My JustGiving page will be open for the next year 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and accepting one-off donations, however please keep your eyes peeled for many exciting fundraisers throughout the year! After each fundraiser a proof of funds raised will be uploaded for all to see, and the amount will be 'donated' by myself on the page with the name and date of the fundraiser. Doing this will keep track of the funds restricted to this page and it will be easier for both myself and all of you to see exactly where we are! Thank you to each and every one of you in advance x
