Only just a few days after suffering the impact of Hurricane Irma, Puerto Rico was directly hit by Hurricane Maria, the strongest Hurricane to have hit the island in a 100 years.

Hurricane Maria reduced homes to heaps of splintered wood and crumbling concrete, turned streets into rivers of churning brown water and left the 3.5 millions resident the island without power.

The full extent of the damage in Puerto Rico remains unclear, as dozens of areas were still incommunicado late Thursday. Communication networks are down, roads are blocked and the islanders are unable to reach family and friends.

Much has been written about the economic woes of Puerto Rico and this storm could not have come at a worst time.

Today children are unable to go to school. Schools have been severely damaged, books have been lost, building are unsafe and countless children, shell-shocked by what they have just experienced, surrounded by destruction and desperation are unable to go to school.

I am crowdfunding to help some of the children of Puerto Rico to go back to school.
The funds will go towards helping the school of my 8 yrs old son Mateo who lives in Puerto Rico.

Creative Learning is a small primary school in Trujillo Alto, the funds will go towards cleaning and fixing the school, buying books and supply for the children and hopefully help towards given them a sense of normality again.

Any additional funds will go towards helping other schools in the most deprived areas of Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico is often called the enchanted Island, it will be a very long difficult road to recovery.
