Christmas is coming troops.

A nice time for most, but there are people out there who find it hard at this time of year, in particular the homeless.

We're taking our December event and using it to give a little something to those who need it most.

We're trying to help raise awareness of the issue of homelessness in Glasgow. We'll be taking donations of clothes, sleeping bags, hats, scarfs, gloves, socks and hygiene essentials to give out as christmas gifts to the people living on the streets of Glasgow. We encourage everyone to get on board and bring down anything you can spare to Flat 0/1 on the 20th (We'll be there from 8pm-3am)

We'll also be donating our pay from Flat 0/1 - plus any additional money we raise - to the Glasgow City Mission in order to provide more available beds for homeless people in Glasgow. We'll have donations buckets on the night & we've set up a just giving page to raise a target of £250 (Last year we raised £465, let's try beat it this time).

Whilst it is totally free to the guest staying at the night shelter, it costs the Glasgow City Mission £24.63 per person per night. Any donations will help enable this lifeline service to take place and give someone who is sleeping rough a warm, safe place to spend the night. In the morning, after they receive breakfast, the people at Glasgow City Mission connect the guest to council homelessness caseworkers, to a specialist NHS clinic for homeless people, to legal help and also to their city centre project and their partners in the city.

We'll be supplying cozy, feel good tunes from start to finish. We're also going to have some pizza and warm beverages for everyone to enjoy on the night. We want everyone to have a nice time whilst helping to do something good to help out the less fortunate troops of Glasgow.
