Story

Holford Cricket Club is a small village club that plays in the West Somerset Cricket League and are the current league champions.

December 2018 Holford Cricket Club was burgled. We had most of our ground maintenance equipment and any thing with a scrap metal value stolen from our premises. There was also significant damage to the pavillion.

The members are cycling from Holford to Lords Cricket Ground in Middlesex approximately 170 miles over 3 days, 10th, 11th &12th April to raise money to replace the equipment and repair the pavillion.

We would appreciate as much support as possible so that we are able to prepare our ground for the coming season. Holford Cricket Club also facilitates neighbouring Clubs allowing them to use the facilities when available.

Day 3 Breakfast at McDonald's and then to offload the bikes from the van in preparation for the day ahead. 09.00 and readý for the off we all mount our trusty steads for the final days cycle. Leaving Staines we cycled towards Walton on Thames onto East Molesey, Kingston upon Thames, Richmond Park, Fulham, Westminster meandering through the traffic along Marylebone and finally arriving at the home of cricket the Lords Cricket Ground.
