17-year-old, Robert Ivan, requires constant medication, having undergone four spinal surgeries after an accident. One was completed last month as a result of everyone's prompt, kind and generous financial help, for which the family are so very grateful. Robert recovers slowly at home but now the family are facing homelessness unless somewhere else can be found for them.

Robert's parents, Mihaela and Ioan (who is without use of his hands through a severe deformity at birth) had been trying to settle themselves in France and, although in receipt of contributions from kind donors, sadly, were unable to complete the full year of financial independence (up to March 2018) which the French system required of them. Consequently, and in very difficult circumstances due to Robert's health, they were returned home to poverty and discrimination in their home country, Rumania. Before France, Ioan had often travelled, slept rough and suffered violence while begging in an attempt to cover their most basic needs before Robert's operations. The family had previously escaped a house fire there which left Robert with hair loss and severe scarring and Ioan with scarring to his arms and face.

In February after having to leave elsewhere, they found a run-down place to stay, without electricity. The landlord now wants to sell for £20,000. He has proposed a deposit of £2000 and the remainder paid within a year (x12 monthly instalments of £1500)

It is really such a large amount to raise, but with your help, please allow this family to finally settle somewhere. We're reminded that it's only for the Grace of Allah (swt) that we may have been born and blessed with provision of a roof over our head, food, good health or be benefiting from any financial stability.
