Story
we've had our West Highland Terrier, Honey for 9 years. She was the most amazing Christmas present that my daughter and I could ever have wished for.
Honey is the life and soul of our family and we couldn't imagine life without her and has an incredible bond with our daughter. Her bond doesn't stop there, she loves nothing more than going to her Nanny's house for a sleep over and sitting at the feet and on the laps of all of our guests.
Today we noticed that Honey wasnt herself and rushed her to the vet. it was here that we recieved the most devastating news that Honey has a condition called PYOMETRA and needs an emergency operation to remove her uterus.
Because she is an otherwise healthy dog and we spotted the signs early, the vet believes that she will pull through and live a full and active life. without it, there will be no alternative but to put her to sleep. which is why I need your help. It seems so cruel to put an otherwise healthy dog to sleep and we want to save our girl's life.
We have recently had a baby and I am on maternity leave, which means my income decreased massively. We dont have the means to raise the money for Honey's life saving operation and it hurts terribly to be so helpless. We have always been responsible dog owners and take good care of our lovely lady. We have always pay for pet insurance, but sadly our cover is not enough to pay for Honey's operation. our daughter is heartbroken, as are we. it is such shattering news for a young girl. How can she comprehend that she might lose her beloved friend.
can you help us with any donations towards Honey's operation? we would really appreciate anything that you can give. The longer that Honey goes without the operation, her health will deteriorate and I need to make payment very swiftly.
Please donate if you can and share our story on your social media and with friends and family too.
Thank-you so much x
