I will be competing along with friends,in a 5k inflatable obstacle run taking place in Peterborough on Saturday 24th March.Donations will be collected for Spinal Muscular Charity,The Annabelle Rose Foundation.SMA is an awful disease of which my friend‘s little boy Mackie,is a sufferer.Monies collected will be used in order to help those affected and their families with the difficulties they face improving their loved ones livestyles,and with any equipment such as bespoke chairs as with Mackie(pictured).There are so many sufferers that could benefit from such funding,which is why I have liased with Mackies mum Hayley,in suggesting The Annabelle Rose Foundation.

This is a charity registered in the UK, founded in Febuary 2010 by Charlotte & Wayne Burfitt. The Annabelle Rose Foundation are dedicated to providing help & support to families affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).Charlotte & Wayne lost their first daughter Annabelle Rose when she was just 7 months and 12 days old due to a genetic muscle wasting condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Annabelle had Type 1 which is the most severe form of the condition and takes the lives of 80% of infants affected before they reach their first birthday.

Their aim is to support sufferers of SMA and their families however they can,for example funding for car/home adaptions,funding specialist medical equipment and toys,providing families with the opportunity of short holidays for those with a short prognosis(as they know first-hand the value of such things) and provide help with funeral costs/arrangements as well as providing emotional support for the families affected by the condition and donating to fund research.
