Story
On the 3rd of July 2018 our regular Tuesday night CMC Llandeilo ride took an unexpected turn for the worse. Riding as a small group we crossed some rough tarmac and Tim Wheeldon came off. He landed hard and another rider couldn't avoid Tim and also crashed.
The accident has left Tim severely injured and he suffered paralysis for some months. He is a strong fighter and has regained movement in his limbs receiving rehabilitation treatment at Rookwood hospital in Cardiff. The physio's treament to get Tim standing and walking has been great. Tim is looking foward to been allowed to visit home for christmas. He will be returning to Rookwood to continue his rehabilitation. As he is now more mobile and will be making home visits he wants to continue his rehabilitation doing something he loves "Cycling". Getting his own Watt bike will allow him to track his progress and improve quicker.
All who know Tim from the South wales cycling scene or The Cawdor will know he has always supported others. It's time for us all to support a fellow cyclist on his road to get back on his bike.
Any donations above the purchase of the Watt bike will go to support his rehabilitation costs.

5 years agoThank you for all the riders that turned out for the "Ride for Tim" today. Great routes organised by Simon and a good social gathering in the Cawdor chapel after the ride for refreshments provided by club members and the Cawdor. It was great to see Tim able to welcome us and start the ride. He is progressing well and very grateful for all the funds raised so far. Tim will be putting them to good use on physio equipment and the Wattbike.
