Ice Community Enterprise has been created with the aim of aiding in the support and development of figure skating within the UK. We recognise that there is a substantial funding gap for aspiring athletes, which can often be detrimental for their continued progress within the sport. From the humblest beginner right through to the seasoned competitor each individual deserves to be recognised and provided with help and assistance however we can.

It is our belief that through the collective action of members of the skating community we can help each other. The greater the amount of money we can save, the larger the difference we can make. From helping a struggling family purchase a new pair of boots for their son or daughter, to contributing toward an athletes training costs or even helping a club host a competition or gala, anything is possible if we work together.

Every six months it is our aim to cap the contributions and enable individuals or clubs to apply for some or all of the saved pot and who knows as the scheme grows it may be possible to help even more. By working with others we will try to provide maximum benefit of every allocation, whether that is through negotiating discounts on goods and services or contributing as best we are able to any specific cause.

Our deciding panel consists of former competitive athletes operating independently of NISA. Each of us has a wide range of experience in figure skating, having progressed all the way through our sport from our very first Skate UK Classes to becoming elite athletes representing Team GB on the World stage. Since finishing our competitive career we have pursued work coaching and performing in shows across the world adding to our experience and drive to help our fellow skaters as they progress.

It is our desire to aid and inspire others as they journey on to become the future of figure skating in the UK and by working as a community, together we can and will make this happen.
