Weʼve raised £160 to Pay for new software to update our dog / cat re-homing website.

Funded on Monday, 21st November 2016

    Story

We set up the website "I Need A Home" www.ineedahome.co.uk about six years to highlight the number of animals in South Yorkshire's rescue centres and stray pounds. During this time almost 40 rescues / pounds have listed their animals on the website and 100's have found new homes as a result.

The website is looked after by a husband and wife team who also pay all the hosting and domain fees - the site does not charge anyone using it as we'd rather they use their funding to help the animals in their care.

We would like to raise £140 to purchase new software that would allow us to rebuild the site, adding new features and making it easier for people to use. We have already considered our options and selected the ideal software, the company who produce it has very generously offered us a life time subscription at half their usual price.

Just giving will only allow us to setup a minimum target of £200, anything over the £140 needed for the software will be donated to a rescue using the website.

Just a quick update, we've decided to stop the fundraising as enough has been kindly donated to cover the cost of the software :-) We've been experimenting with a trial version and once Justgiving release the funds we'll get the full version sorted. It will take us a little while to complete the new site but the current one will be updated with sneak peaks of the work in progress. Once again thanks to everyone for the support!

Wow! A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, we're both very excited to be able to get the new site up and running :-) Its been great to hear some of the lovely stories of people who've found the site useful, over the years more than 6500 dogs have been listed on the site and its good to know that they have found new homes.

I found and adopted my JRx from your wonderful website and he is a constant source of joy. It gives so many dogs and humans a chance of happiness. It's so good to be able to say thank you!
