We will be raising money for two great causes: Park Lane Special School and the Childen's Ward at Macclesfield Hospital by taking part in a Sky Dive on what would have been Alfie's 7th Birthday (14th July 2018). Thank you for your support and contributions, they are greatly appreciated.

Alfie's Mum's Story:

"Alfie Cairney was born a happy and healthy boy. However, when he was only two years old, he unfortunately contracted e-coli which caused a severe brain injury and we were told that he would not survive the night.

However, Alfie was a fighter and with love and hope we managed to take him home from hospital, where he had been for over a year.

Once home it was apparent we needed help to care for him as it was a 24 hr job and that’s how we met amazing Sandra! She came in to our lives and enabled us to be together as a family.

Our hopes and dreams for Alfie was to live as normal life as possible. He was able to attend Park Lane Special School in Macclesfield, where he socialised with other children and we learnt he loved to relax in their hydro pool.

Alfie's health was always up and down and he was very often a patient at Macclesfield Children’s Ward, they were amazing with Alfie and the support they gave us as a family was brilliant.

Unfortunately our little super hero gave up his fight when he was just 6 years old.

I can’t begin to describe what an inspirational young man Alfie was; he never complained, he was always happy and took everyday as a blessing.

We would like to continue his legacy by raising money to support his school to continue their great work with children who need that extra care and love.

We would also like to support Macclesfield Children’s Ward who’s care and support kept us strong as a family and we hope other families can benefit from this great hospital.
