Story
#IOM4AUS
The Isle of Man Federation of Young Farmers would love you to join them by going green for Australia!
We are raising money for two charities that will help the animals and families who are being affected.
On Friday 17th of January, we ask that you wear green with us for a minimum donation of £2 per person.
If you or your company would like to be involved, please let us know before Wednesday 15th of January by emailing iomyoungfarmers@outlook.com. From then, we’ll send you our fundraising package which will include information regarding the two charities, social media advertising and donation collection.
THE CHARITIES:
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY - VINNIES BUSHFIRE APPEAL
The St Vincent De Paul Society is running a bushfire appeal, to help those affected rebuild their lives with food, clothing, furniture, other essentials, and funds to pay bills.
They explain exactly where your money could go:
• $50 “can provide food for a family who have been evacuated from their home.”
• $150 “can help with bills and unexpected expenses for a household recovering from a bushfire.”
• $300 “can provide clothing for a family who’ve had to leave their belongings behind.”
• $1,100 “can help those whose homes have been damaged or destroyed to set up again with bedding, furniture and appliances.
NEED FOR FEED
Need For Feed has been the major supplier of emergency fodder & transport, outstripping the State Government and Other Agencies combined.
They are supplying the stock & animal feed needs of affected larger properties by semi loads & supplying smaller properties by ute convoys.
They continue to raise funds to support all farmers in fire, drought and flood affected areas each year as required as they struggle to rebuild properties and livelihoods in times of crisis and natural events.
Thank you!
