Story

Melinda is one of my oldest friends, we have known each other since we were 4 years old. She is a 34 years old single mum with her 6 years old son living near Budapest far from family and friends where she is close to the hospital she goes to for the treatments. Melinda was diagnosed with inflamatory breast cancer in July 2017 which is a very rare type of breast cancer. After her chemotherapy she had her breast surgery in February 2018. Very sadly 2 weeks later she was taken to hospital with severe headaches & vomiting and she was diagnosed with brain eodema which was caused by 8 brain tumours. Unfortunately they can not remove the tumours by surgery so she started radiotherapy. At the moment she is waiting to have her scans to see what would be the next step to a healthy life. Melinda is not able to work anymore. She gets very little benefit for her illness which does not cover her rent & daily groceries. Also there is still £2000 outstanding from her student loan but she can‘t afford to pay it since she got ill and has no income.

I am hoping to raise enough money to help them with their living while she is fighting for her life.

Hi everyone. Some of you may already know that Melinda had her breast surgery in February 2018.The surgery went well and for about 2 weeks she was feeling well. However unfortunately she was taken to hospital with severe headaches & vomiting. Sadly Melinda was diagnosed with brain oedema which was caused by brain tumours. Unfortunately she has 8 tumours in her brain which can’t be removed by surgery. She just finished her radiotherapy and waiting for her scans to see what would be the next step towards a healthy life! Thanks to all of you! ❤️

Just want to thank you again for all the support you give! Today is a very happy day!!! Melinda finally finished her chemotherapy and this Thursday on the 08/02/2018 she will have her breast surgery. She feels very positive due to all your support and kind words which means a lot to her!!! Best wishes to all of you!!! ❤️

Thank you to all of your support! AMAZING! In 2 months we have raised £2244.9 here on JustGiving and on Melinda’s bank account!The amount it will help her to cover their day to day living for 5 months! Thank you all the kind words and wishes! It means a lot to her, it gives her strength to fight even more! I am about to transfer her the amount raised but this page will be still running until the 10/12/2018.
