My name is Isabella Ward, I'm 15 years old and attend Sydenham High School.

In the summer of 2018, I will be traveling to Borneo for a month along with other pupils from our School, to take part in a World Challenge Expedition.

The expedition is about helping others, exploring and pushing ourselves beyond our limits.

Our first few days will be spent adapting to very different surrounding, climate and living conditions. We will then start a trek through Gunung Mulu Park. We will be taking part in a community project, giving us the opportunity to mix and learn from the locals and find out first hand what they need from us to help them.

The adventurous part of our expedition will be climbing Mount Kinabalu, the most sacred mountain in Indonesia and a great landmark of Borneo. A fantastic opportunity for us all.

The community project is the part that I am most looking forward to. To be able to help others in a village less fortunate to us will be so rewarding and humbling.

I want to make a difference. This will be my first expedition and I will give my all to this challenge. I am so excited to be able to take part and have this opportunity.
