Story
As you know Laura & Ian were given the devastating news that their beautiful, precious seven year old daughter Isla has been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour.
Isla is currently at Addenbrookes awaiting surgery.
I can’t begin to imagine the pain, stresses and worries this is bringing to them now and further down the line. So I have opened this page with their consent to help them as a family.
Life is most certainly going to be tough and if we can help ease things a little by helping them in anyway we can I know they will appreciate our support.
Please give what you can....
Much Love xx

4 years agoAbsolutely gutted that our time before chemotherapy is not going well. We are overwhelmed with fear. This feeling of anxiousness just gets stronger day by day. Trying to not to cry in public, tears won't stop any more. But we won't be beaten and we won't stop fighting. This little girl is small but fierce, and she won't give up either. It helps to put things in perspective. There are kids dying and with with no hope. We still have hope and really, compared to some, she's not in such a bad way. She's not in pain. She's still being our Isla.

4 years agoTaken from Isla’s Journey... Well we went out for a long walk Sunday and this will be probably be our last walk as a family for some time. As of tomorrow when treatment starts, Islas immune system will be be compromised. I’d like to say we’ve had a fun Easter break but all ian and I can think about is tomorrow. Obviously covid hasn’t helped, another risk to treatment, but there’s no choice. It’s a tough time as the only thing that can save her has so many risks but we have no choice. But, she’s had a fun time!

4 years agoTaken from Laura’s Facebook What a strange time. Loads of spaces in the car Park, Addenbrookes door is locked and have to buzz to get in. Get in had a hearing test again nobody else present on that entire clinic. In to radiotherapy to watch My poor girl lay there for 10 minutes with this mask on unable to move screwed to the bed whilst the mould set. I couldn’t stop the tears. She’s so tiny and really doesn’t deserve this. But she did it, didn’t move so all set for 14/4 when we start radiotherapy. I love you Isla Smiler you are a true warrior
