My name is Isabel and I am trying to raise £2,650 to enable me to take part in the World Challenge expedition to India in July 2018 with my school.

This is a unique and life-changing opportunity - I am 12 now and will be 13 when we depart.

The trip will include:
- Three days working and living in a local village taking on a charitable project such as repairs and maintenance in a primary school to benefit the local community as well as spending time with the people of the region and learning about their culture.
- A three-day trek into the jungle foothills of the Himalayas, camping along the way with other local communities.

I am determined to raise the funds myself between now & July 2018; to stay on target I need to raise the equivalent of £160 every month.

I will be undertaking errands and chores every week such as car washing, cleaning, gardening, plant watering, pet feeding, running errands in return for small donations, as well as supermarket bag packs, craft stalls and a 10k sponsored swim.

The 10k swim represents the distance between my home and school and is equivalent to 400 lengths of my local pool. I have to be fit to do the expedition and I am not a particularly strong swimmer so it’s going to be a challenging and worthwhile exercise all-round. I will swim every week and tick off as many lengths as I can as quickly as possible.
